[S1E12] Revelation

Thrown into the high-action mix is the quiet revelation that Book inherited his name from his courier mentor, who inherited it himself. So, all along, Book has basically been the Dread Pirate Roberts? Huh.

For the second straight episode, the climax comes when Bart has a revelation just when all seems lost, which has inspired me to have my own revelation: Bart is secretly smart, he just hides it within a wall of of disinterest, slackerdom and cool.

This revelation fuels a new burst of energy from Joseph, however his rage ends up making him sloppy. Marlowe wounds him and the tide turns drastically. Joseph barely escapes up the elevator, with Marlowe close behind. As their gun fight continues on the rooftop, Joseph is further wounded, and is only given a reprieve when Marlowe has to find a way around debris between them.

"Born Free" is the twelfth episode of season one and first-season finale of the American television drama series Dexter, which aired on December 17, 2006 on Showtime in the United States.[1] The episode also aired on May 4, 2008 on CTV in Canada;[2] on May 14, 2008 on FX in the UK;[3] on September 28, 2008 on Channel Ten in Australia; and on March 21, 2011 on STAR World in India.[4] The episode was written by Daniel Cerone and executive producer Melissa Rosenberg, and was directed by Michael Cuesta.[5] Based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, the season featured many differences to the original source, mainly in the lead-up to and revelation of the identity of the "Ice Truck Killer". The episode received critical acclaim.

The first season of Dexter is based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay.[8][9] However, there are numerous differences, ranging from extra subplots to rearrangements and modifications of elements from the source material. The biggest change is the lead-up to and revelation of the identity of the "Ice Truck Killer", called the "Tamiami Butcher" in the novel. In the novel, Dexter is led to believe that he might be the one committing the murders, due to a series of strange dreams that connect him to the murder. The final clue is a blurry photo, taken from surveillance footage, of a man who resembles Dexter at a crime scene. After the "Tamiami Killer" kidnaps Deborah, Dexter finds and confronts him. It is subsequently revealed that the killer is actually Dexter's nearly identical long-lost brother, Brian, who, like Dexter, witnessed their mother's brutal murder. Dexter is followed by Detective LaGuerta, who is slain by Brian. Debra finds out her brother is a killer and Dexter helps Brian to escape. In the television series, Brian is introduced under the fake name Rudy, a prosthetist who becomes Debra's boyfriend. Dexter hesitantly kills Brian instead of letting him escape, Debra does not discover her brother's secret, and LaGuerta is not present at all in the confrontation. In the novel, Dexter and his brother are nearly identical, whereas the actors playing the two characters are distinct from each other in their looks.[10]

Throughout the hour, we learned more about Jamie and his past, his family, and what he feels like is his responsibility in being Laird. Claire's revelation to him was certainly not forgotten, not only in him tallying up their years jokingly, but later when she tells him about flying and he asks about elephants. His expressions of love to her, and her returning it, was a lovely moment between them, and so was Jamie and Jenny finally reconciling, as we knew they would.

Brian Zeller and Jimmy Price report their findings to Jack Crawford: Abigail Hobbs was registered for orientation with her father at every location the murdered girls were abducted from- she was the bait her father used to lure girls in. Off of this revelation, Jack surmises - wrongfully - that Abigail murdered Dr. Sutcliffe and Georgia Madchen because she has a thirst for murder that can no longer go unquenched. When he goes to arrest Abigail, however, he's met by Freddie Lounds. She lets Jack know Will Graham snuck her out of the facility very recently; a tidbit she finds very interesting, considering Will is Abigails legal guardian.

Will takes Abigail back to the cabin where her father killed all of his victims. It's there that Will finds out Abigail was the bait by which her father lured in all the girls he murdered. This shocking revelation taints the image Will has of Abigail and sends him into a psychotic episode. Will begins to struggle with reality and hallucination, until he wakes up on an airplane, back in Virginia with Abigail nowhere to be found.

Emily sets her sights on a new target when a famed author who has deep ties with both the Graysons and the Clarkes returns to town; Conrad proves how dirty he's willing to get when Daniel gets dragged into the divorce; Jack finally lets his guard down with Amanda; and a stunning revelation is unveiled and becomes a game changer for Emily and the Graysons. 041b061a72
