Metal Slug Advance

The Card system is a card collecting part of the game. Cards can be found from shooting certain parts of the background, and by obtaining it from certain hostages, and sometimes by doing both. The cards have many different purposes, from giving detailed info on items and characters from the Metal Slug series to boosting player abilities, and even unlocking special (and new) slugs. There are 100 cards to collect, and collecting them all becomes the main objective to anyone who defeats the final boss.

Metal Slug Advance

Black Hound Slug: A black Metal Slug that was a secret boss in Metal Slug 5. It has a painted "Devil's Eye" on the side, and a bazooka replacing the vulcan gun. However, this version of the slug has lost it's arcing laser attack, and replaced the RPGs it shot from the bazooka with black enemy chasers. It has a firing delay of about half a second. Like the Type-R, It must be unlocked in order to be used.

With those two years spent into making this game you'd expect a classy run 'n gun game just like the ones in the arcades. But no, all we got was a rushed game with a wopping six missions, I wouldn't say the sixth mission even counts, it's made as a secret level. This was the first 16-bit handheld metal slug game, yet the 8-bit ones for the NGPC were the best compared to this one, and metal slug advance isn't even that bad, it's the fact that SNK worked with another dev team to make this game. They did great on the NGPC games. I choose to believe that ignition entertainment helped Hitler with the Holocaust, they help Eric and Dylan on the Columbie school shooting, and help Osama do 9/11, pure evilness.

Now you can have all the 2D arcade action of Metal Slug in the palm of your hand, because Metal Slug Advance has arrived on the Game Boy Advance. Through five action-packed missions, you must move out on foot or in slug vehicles across rugged terrain and underwater bases. Your objective is to rescue hostages by destroying enemies and solving strategic puzzles. Completing your missions becomes easier when you collect more than 100 types of E-cards, which enhance your character's abilities. 041b061a72
